At the Moscow Airport, Vnukovo Airport, the passenger aircraft Tu-204-100 Red Wings (flight WZ 9298), heading from the Czech airport of Pardubitsa to Moscow, crashed. The plane flew without passengers, three crew members and four flight attendants were on board. According to the latest data, four people were killed, four more were injured.

The accident occurred at about 16:45 Moscow time. During the second attempt to land the plane, he left hundreds of meters from the runway, collapsed into pieces and caught fire. At the same time, parts of his fuselage reached the Kyiv highway passing in the Vnukovo area, pierced the fence of the highway and rolled out in the middle of the lively route.

According to the first information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which entered the Polit.ru, two people died as a result of the aircraft - the ship commander and the second pilot. Five were saved ─ three of them in extremely serious condition, two more ─ in the difficult. Later, Interfax , citing the Moscow Department of Health, reported that a 27-year-old woman who suffered during the accident accident died in the hospital. Her name was not called.

After some time, information about the fourth victim appeared ─ another victim died in the hospital. The authorities also reported that all the victims of the air transportation were identified, and called the names of the two dead: these are the crew commander Gennady Shmelev, born in 1964, and the second pilot Astashenkov . In total, 8 people were on board the aircraft. Later, the Ministry of Emergencies brought a complete list of those who were on board.

Transport collapse on Kiev highway

The reasons are not yet clear

Among the possible causes of the accident could be either a pilot error or a malfunction of the aircraft. The source of Interfax agency, which has an air traffic control, said that the aircraft, perhaps for some reason, was refused by engines or their capacity dropped.

At the Czech airport in Pardubitsa, from where the Tu-204 took off, in turn, Polit.ru reported that the plane was technically working. They explained that the aircraft of the Russian airline Red Wings delivered tourists to the Czech airport, and returned to Russia without passengers. The crew of the aircraft also did not report any technical malfunctions.

The RIA Novosti agency has information that on December 28, 2012, the Rosavision sent a letter about possible problems in the braking system on passenger aircraft like Tu-204. This instruction was given after on December 21, 2012 at the Tolmachevo airport there was another case of the Tu-204 rolling out of the runway (GDP). The plane was new

The owner of Red Wings, the head of the National Reserve Corporation, Alexander Lebedev told reporters that the crashed aircraft was made in 2008 at the Ulyanovsk Air Protection of the KB Tupolev. Its modification is Tu-204-100. This aircraft is the first modification from the entire series. According to the plans of the designers, the aircraft was supposed to replace another passenger ship-Tu-154 on airlines. The maximum capacity of the "hundredth" modification is 210 people.

The first flight of the Tu-204 made on January 2, 1989, launched into operation in 2005. According to June, 72 aircraft were produced, of which 51 are operated, the rest are in stock. At the same time, in the operation of the Russian airline Red Wings are 9 Tu-204-100 aircraft. In the future, the company planned to increase their number to 28 units, including modernized Tu-204cm. It is worth noting that two Tu-204 aircraft “three hundred” modifications are in the operation of the “Special flight squad“ Russia ”, which is engaged in the transportation of the first persons of the state.

Red Wings, which is among the 15 largest airlines in Russia, is also the largest buyer of the Tu-204 and in fact the only air carrier, due to which the production of this aircraft continues in Russia and a project for the development of its next modification is underway-Tu-204cm. Earlier it was reported that the government decided to abandon the further development of the Tu-204cm in favor of passenger Lainers MS-21 and Sukhoi Superjet 100 .
