In Leningrad, as you know, there are two types of good weather - “the mud has dried up” and “the mud has frozen.” Today, unfortunately, the mud was in its natural liquid state. The slurry of water and wet snow made it difficult to cross roads both in the center and in residential areas.
To be honest, this “natural phenomenon” that accompanies every thaw really bothers me. Since the “invisible hand of the market” is not yet ready to solve this problem, I would like to turn to our city authorities with the most humble request to clear the streets of melting snow or, since we live in the Middle Ages, to give city residents stilts for crossing water barriers at the sidewalk. Well, or hold a religious procession with a prayer service, dance with a tambourine, as is customary there now?
