Dead city. Christmas

In our glorious city, among other abandoned things, there is an abandoned grain elevator. Not even an elevator, but a whole complex of grain storage facilities - Bread Store No. 61.

Now this is one of the few atmospheric places in the city. Being on the territory of the granary, I experience an indescribable feeling of dark melancholy.

This year I visited the grain elevators alone. For this same reason, I did not climb onto the roof; in fact, I did not even enter any of the structures this time.

The previous time I was here in early autumn with work colleagues. And even then I wanted to visit here in winter.

In winter, on the one hand, the vegetation that has grown over the past 20 years does not interfere with the view, on the other hand, many elements of the complex are not visible under the snow.

After this winter visit, I wanted to visit here with a camera in the spring, I want to see how nature wakes up in this atmosphere.

And now, dear reader, let’s move on to the melancholy black and white photographs.

Opposite the elevators themselves, on the other side of the street, there is a small village, mostly residential, of course, but this building is abandoned for some reason unknown to me. Nearby there are the same two-story residential buildings, people walk, children play.

This area of Yaroslavl is rich in abandonment. The unfinished factory buildings and elevators are, of course, the largest. Apparently this is an abandoned school.

A fire station was abandoned near the Rezinotekhnika plant.

Unlike all the pictures in this series, this gas station is working. But, you must admit, you don’t often see SUCH a gas station, especially in the city.
