A study of the regional IT trade market was conducted in the Altai Territory. It turned out that over the past five years, this industry has seen positive growth dynamics.
During the period 2009-2011 alone, 45 stores were created and are operating in the region. The increase at the end of 2011 was 40.4%, which in quantitative terms amounts to 17 selling resources. According to a study conducted by Creachoo with the assistance of specialists from the Softline IT center, ASU, commissioned by the Altai Territory Department for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Market Infrastructure , in 2012 there were 70 regional web resources on the global network through which goods are sold to the public. Most of the indicated number of web resources (80%) belong to individuals, companies and individual entrepreneurs from Barnaul, 16% of resources belong to the Biysk Internet segment, 4% of online stores operate in other territories of the region. This distribution is primarily due to the leading indicators of development of the Internet space of the regional capital and the consumer market as a whole.
The leading position in regional online stores is occupied by the sale of goods for children - 14 web resources, or 15% of the total number of sites. As experts note, this segment sells goods for newborns, young mothers and pregnant women, children's clothing, as well as toys and related products. The leadership of this area of commerce is determined by the traditionally high activity of young parents in using the resources of the global network. According to analysts, women on maternity leave are among the most active Internet users.
In second place, with a difference of 4% (10 online stores), is the direction of selling clothes, shoes and specialized accessories to the population. This group is largely represented by resources that sell a full range of relevant products for women.
Rounding out the top three leading sectors of the Internet market is a group that includes areas related to the sale of various types of equipment: household, computer and office equipment, as well as medical.
