
The Accounts Chamber revealed violations during the construction of the Zenit stadium in St. Petersburg. This is stated in the report compiled by the department based on the results of the audit. Violations relate to the transfer to the city budget of funds proceeds from the sale of the materials of the Kirov stadium, on the site of which Zenit is being built. Also non -compliance with the law were found when using return materials remaining after dismantling the old stadium. Inappropriate storage of 63 thousand chairs for spectators with a total value of 287 million rubles is noted. In addition, it was established that in 2006-2008, work was carried out without a building permit, and in 2010-2012-without approved project documentation.
According to Fontanka.ru, citing auditors of the Accounts Chamber, the total damage caused during the construction of the city budget amounted to more than 500 million rubles. The expenditure of another 3.7 billion rubles of the inspection could not be checked. According to the publication, the main reasons for the overspending of funds were multiple transfer of the construction time and non -compliance with the initial project.
The construction of the Zenit stadium on Krestovsky Island has been conducted since 2007. Initially, the cost of work was estimated at 6.7 billion rubles, but today, the cost of building exceeded 14 billion. The total estimate is now 43.8 billion rubles.
According to the plans of the city administration, the construction of the stadium should be completed by October 2015. Moreover, now the object is ready only for a third.
