Protest "Why children? / Why children?" in Washington DC

On January 13 at 13:00, Russian-speaking residents of Washington and Baltimore gathered in front of the Russian embassy to protest against the so-called “Dima Yakovlev law” and support the thousands of people who disagree with this decision of the Duma and the country’s president himself living in Russia. According to the hastily signed law, which became a response to the American “Magnitsky Act,” American citizens will now never be able to adopt orphans from Russia. The law came into force on January 1, 2013 and caused widespread public outcry not only in Russia, but also in the United States.
