The judge, the leading case of Apple against Amazon about the copyright violations for trademarks of the App Store and AppStore, invites two companies to settle laws on their own, Bloomberg reports . The meeting at which the lawyers and representatives of both companies are authorized should be present, should be held on March 21.
The reason for the trial is the use of the App Store name for its application store. Apple representatives believe that Amazon stole their trademark, thereby violating the laws on unfair competition. Amazon lawyers, meanwhile, believe that the App Store is a general designation and rights cannot be brought on it.
Apple managed to defend his rights to a trademark in Europe, but in the USA all attempts are still unsuccessful. If companies cannot agree on their own, then the court hearing in this case will be held in August 2013.
