Two teenagers from Udmurtia, who dismantled railway tracks, will appear before the Sarapul city court on charges of theft.
The Udmurtia prosecutor's office reported on Friday that a criminal case was opened against the young people after last summer, within the city of Sarapul, they dismantled railway tracks on the Izhevsk-Ekaterinburg section, “thus creating a real threat of rolling stock derailment.”
According to the republican prosecutor's office, the teenagers' actions "caused a delay in the movement of several freight and passenger trains."
After the theft, the young people handed over the trophies to one of the unofficial metal collection points, and spent the money received on alcohol.
