The beginning of 2013 is marked by the massive emergence of new social movements reflecting civil initiatives. These appeared in the Kuban, North Caucasus and Khabarovsk Territory.
And so “Conscience” appeared in Chelyabinsk. Last week, the founding Council of the regional public movement “Shared Message”, or “Conscience” for short, took place.
Several hundred caring South Urals residents of different ages and professions have already joined it. Those who care about what is happening today with our society and its civil and political component.
Elena Moskalenko, who was elected chairman of the RPM "Joint News" ("Conscience"), writes: "We have not had any calls from the Kremlin, this is an example of civic consciousness that manifests itself from below. Now the government causes widespread pessimism among all representatives of the population, it looks like a team of adventurers and financial We are tired of sitting back and watching how a small group of politicians waste the budget aimlessly, how decisions are made illegally, carelessly and corruptly to cut down forests, fire unwanted school directors, build all the roads and bridges near one shopping center, or again build another shopping complex on the spot. the next Chelyabinsk courtyard or birch grove. Opposition to the acquisitive actions of the business authorities has been brewing for a long time, all of us who are concerned have already met at rallies and protests, now the time has come to work using other methods.”
The main slogan of “Conscience” projects is not a vertical party arrangement of society, but primarily a democratic one. And their goal is to support the population in their public initiatives. It is planned to unite everyone who believes that it is possible and necessary to live not according to lies and not according to thieves’ concepts. To develop self-organization of citizens based on the commonality of their goals and interests, as well as to demonstrate to existing political forces the potential and dynamics of such interaction, its capabilities for the socio-political sphere of the Southern Urals.
At the founding council of “Conscience” it was also said that the social movement already has about several thousand supporters who declare that, as far as possible, they will help and unite, standing up for everyone who is oppressed, fired, or has their business taken away.
The organizers hope that the new form of social movement will involve all concerned citizens, representatives of government agencies and the non-governmental sector according to the principle: in a large team, the voice of each individual participant is heard and important.
The movement's council included famous journalists, businessmen and the political elite of the Chelyabinsk region. Currently, active work is underway to establish local branches of the movement in 27 municipal districts and 16 urban districts. Local branches have already appeared in Kopeisk, Magnitogorsk, Ozersk and Katav-Ivanovsk. Journalist Irina Gundareva became the chairman of the Chelyabinsk local branch of the RPM "Conscience". The founding conference is scheduled for February.
"Conscience" sounds loud. Whether the voice of “Conscience” will call for real changes, whether it will be heard, depends not on the big name, but on specific deeds. And in many ways, if the good goal of the initiative remains, it will come from you and me.
