The fourth hydraulic unit of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station is put into industrial operation

The hydraulic unit No. 4 of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station was transferred to the permanent industrial operating mode. The total design capacity of four current units is 1332 MW.

According to the press service of the RusHydro company, the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station received permission from the Yenisei Rostekhnadzor management for the commissioning of the hydraulic unit. During the audit, it was found that the condition of the equipment complies with the technical conditions and requirements of design documentation. The hydraulic unit is commissioned, provided that no more than three units with the total load of the station are not more than 470 MW. It is assumed that with the input of the unit No. 4, the daily production will exceed 10.5 million kilowatt hours.

The operation of hydraulic unit No. 4 will be carried out during the temporary withdrawal from the work of one of the current hydraulic units of the first launch complex under station numbers 1, 2 and 3. Such a scheme of operation is due to network restrictions (the inability to issue the entire working capacity of the station to the network of 200 kV) associated with the unpreparedness of the facilities of the power output with a voltage of 500 kV.

After the readiness of the power output scheme of 500 kW, the launches of the remaining five hydraulic units will be clarified (No., 5 6, 7, 8, 9). Station for a design capacity of 3,000 MW with the entry of all nine hydraulic units will depend on the terms for filling the reservoir to a design mark of 208 m. It is planned to be scored within 2013 - 2014. In the second decade of November 2012, the level of the Boguchansky reservoir stabilized at a mark of 185 m, an increase in the level during the winter of 2012 - 2013 is not planned.

Recall that the first three hydroelectric units of the station were put into industrial operation in November 2012, since December, the hydroelectric power station has been supplying electricity to the wholesale market.
