In Kaliningrad, they adopted the law against the "propaganda of homosexuality"

The Kaliningrad Regional Duma adopted in the second and final reading a bill prohibiting the "propaganda of pedophilia, sexual relations with minors, sodist, lesbianism, bisexualism," New Kaliningrad reports.

Most deputies voted for the bill. Only deputy Solomon Ginzburg made with sharp criticism. He suggested that after the law comes into force from bookstores, part of the literature would have to be removed. “Now it will be necessary to exclude half of the ancient literature from the sale, Nabokov and so on,” Ginzburg said.

The author of the law was the deputy of the Duma Oleg Bolychev. Now, for such "propaganda" they will be punished with a fine of 3 to 5 thousand rubles for individuals, from 30-50 thousand for officials, from 500 thousand to 1 million rubles for legal entities.

Initially, the bill prohibited the "propaganda of pedophilia, homosexuality and lesbianism" among minors. In the final version, amendments to the Law "On the Protection of the Population of the Kaliningrad Region from Information Products harmful to spiritual and moral development" prohibit "propaganda of pedophilia and homosexuality" among the entire population of the region.

Deputy Yuri Fedorishchev noted that in the Soviet Union, criminal liability was provided for such actions, therefore, Kaliningrad.ru reports to support the legislative initiative.

Oleg Bolychev believes that the violators of this law are primarily the media. At the same time, the federal law on the protection of children from harmful information adopted by the State Duma in September 2012, according to the deputy, is not able to completely ennoble the spiritual and moral level of the population.
