The Main Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee completed the pre-investigation of the ex-head of the Department of Property Relations of the Ministry of Defense Evgenia Vasilieva, the Kommersant reports . Based on the results of the audit, another criminal case may be instituted against it under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale) and article 201 (abuse of powers). In addition to it, the defendants of the case will be the former and current leaders of OJSC OPENSService, OJSC Main Directorate for the Arrangement of Troops and other structures.

As it became known to the publication, during the audit, investigators found that a number of commercial companies have concluded fictitious contracts with subcholdings and subsidiaries OJSC OPENSService for some consulting services. Although no real works under contracts were carried out, the structure of Oboronservice was paid to partner companies several tens of million rubles. Those, in turn, were cashed out and handed over to Anna Kazina, an assistant Vasilyeva. Part of this money then went to the salary of personal cooks, cleaners and other service personnel Vasilyeva.

According to the same scheme, as the investigation established, money was allocated to pay for full -time employees and heads of the Center for Legal Support "Expert" and some other structures. On November 6, 2012, immediately after the resignation of the Minister of Defense, Anatoly Serdyukov, the new general director of OJSC OPENSTRU and OJSC GOOV Vladislav Germanovich allegedly instructed subordinates to terminate all the contracts that could be suspected by law enforcement agencies. However, according to Kommersant, investigators and operatives have already established more than 100 people who entered into such agreements.

On January 18, the Khamovnican District Court of Moscow extended until March 23 the term of home arrest Vasilyeva. At present, she was charged with three crimes under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale). Vasilieva denies his guilt.

Vasilieva was detained by the FSB and the TFR on November 20, 2012. On November 23, the Khamovnican Court placed her under house arrest. A few days later it became known that Vasilieva was ready to cooperate with the investigation, giving evidence confirming its innocence. On December 12, the conditions of house arrest Vasilyeva were softened - the former official was allowed to receive guests and talk on the phone without discussing the circumstances of her work.

In addition to Vasilyeva, the former head of the expert, Ekaterina Smetanova, and her husband, ex -leader of the District Material Warehouse of the Moscow Air Force, Maxim Klastutalo, are involved in the defendants in the main case of Oboronservis. In the late 1990s, all three studied together at the SPbSU law faculty. There he received the second higher education and ex-minister of defense Anatoly Serdyukov. Unlike Vasilyeva, Smetanov and wrapped up placed in jail.

The scandal with the "Oboronservice" led to the resignation of Serdyukov from the post of minister. According to President Putin, the dismissal of the head of the Ministry of Defense was designed to create conditions for an objective investigation. On December 20, 2012, Putin, during a large press conference, said that he fired Serdyukov "for the fact that the investigation authorities had reasonable doubts that the work related to the sale of property and on some other issues had properly built."

Serdyukov was interrogated in the case of Oboronservice as a witness, but he refused to testify. The official representative of the TFR Vladimir Markin did not rule out that the procedural status of Serdyukov could change. On Thursday, Serdyukov was interviewed without a lawyer as part of a pre -investigation verification on the fact of the improvement of the "ministerial cottage". There is evidence that a criminal case will be instituted in the coming days, but it is unlikely that the ex-minister will become his defendant.
