75 years ago, January 25, 1938, an actor, poet and bard Vladimir Vysotsky was born. Not receiving official recognition during his lifetime, he nevertheless became a popular idol and remains him today. Vysotsky took second place (31% of respondents), losing only to Yuri Gagarin (35%).

On June 24, 1968, Vysotsky wrote to the Central Committee of the CPSU due to the fact that his work was criticized in the central press: “They write that the audience came to two concerts not to listen to good songs from the film“ Vertical ”and others that I performed in concerts, and then to hear the songs that they twist at the tape recorders at booze and parties.
