Journalist Mikhail Sazonov was detained near the State Duma; he was beaten during the arrest

Stanislav Mudry, deputy editor-in-chief of the Ridus publication, told OVD-Info that the publication's correspondent Mikhail Sazonov, while on an editorial assignment at a rally of LGBT activists against the adoption of a bill banning "homosexual propaganda", was detained by the police and beaten. During the arrest, Sazonov showed his press ID to a police officer, after which he received a blow to the head, Stanislav Mudry told OVD-Info. At the moment, Sazonov is in the Tverskoye police department, where he wrote a statement about the beating - until Sazonov is released from the police department. As OVD-Info previously reported, 20 activists were detained at the State Duma protests and taken to the Tverskoye police department.
