The text of the petition:
To the administration of the President of the Russian Federation
from _____________________________
** Free the accused in the "Swamp case"!
Investigate the death of Alexander Dolmatov! **
On January 17, 2013, in the Dutch prison, in anticipation of deportation to Russia, the defendant in the “swamp business” Alexander Dolmatov committed suicide. Since December 14, 2012, another “Bolotnaya Prisoner” Sergei Krivov was holding a hunger strike, who stated that he would continue her until a change in preventive measure. The hunger strike is already deadly. Another accused in the “swamp case” Vladimir Akimenkov will blind in a pre -trial detention center. The fourth criminal case was opened against the accused in the same case of Leonid Razvozhaev - in revenge for refusing to turn out to be confused, received under torture. We remind you that on May 6, 2012, in the center of Moscow, during a mass action agreed with the authorities on the approach to Bolotnaya Square, clashes occurred between unarmed demonstrators and the police, internal troops and riot police. Dozens of demonstrators were beaten or subjected to rough and humiliating physical impact, several hundred were detained. According to the events of May 6 in Bolotnaya Square, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mass riots). This was done without a thorough study of all the circumstances of the events; Contrary to the assessment that lawyers and human rights activists who were at the scene, claiming that such events cannot be qualified as “mass riots”, first of all, because there was no threat of public security (i.e. grave consequences for many people, for property, a threat to the authorities and management), there were no weapons and destruction attempts.
The accusation of the riots made it possible to begin an unprecedentedly large -scale case, which is exclusively political in nature. Its goal is to intimidate and criminal prosecution of participants in the protest movement. Today, 22 people are considered accused, 15 of them are in custody. An impressive investigative group has been thrown to business - more than 100 people. Interrogations, searches and arrests continue, they are accompanied by gross procedural disorders.
Based on the foregoing, I demand:
conduct an investigation of the circumstances of the tragic death of Alexander Dolmatov;
to free from the guard all the accused in the so-called "swamp" case;
Conduct a thorough and objective investigation of the actions of government representatives on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012 with the participation of representatives of the public.
