This article is listed in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation at number 110. Whether it will be applied to the history of life and death of Alexandra Dolmatov is unknown. But a number of evidence, as well as a document that has at the disposal of The New Times, convinces: an unbiased investigation cannot and should not exclude such a version
The New Times thanks for help in preparing the material of Hubert Smiths, a correspondent of the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad

October 18, 2011, Dolmatov was detained during the inconsistent campaign “Other Russia” “Elections without the opposition - crime”
The FSB and the EE center accepted Dolmatov in development long before the events on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, where it was detained, and then, when the arrests began, fled abroad, fearing the prison.
“Trying to recruit. Personal Internet Informiy. Threats to throw G. Call to the enterprise and salary. Going to work. Detection. seizure of the system. block. Challenge to Dep. regime. Treb. Zp. Reported on St. On the computer ” - this record made in October 2011, the mother of Alexander Dolmatova Lyudmila Nikolaevna discovered in the notebook, which she found in the room of her son after he ended up in Holland. “The recording is very in the spirit of Sasha, is similar to a logical task,” says Dolmatov's friend, a former colleague for the forbidden NBP Dmitry Nechaev, tall, very thin, unshaven man over thirty. - The causes and consequences are indicated. Initially, the shares were listed by the “other Russia” and in which Sasha took part, then on the points of the date, when they “talked” with him. In the first paragraph, as I understand it, it is written - "A man from the center E on a walk." In the second - "conversation with the boss." In the third - the surname of the person who spoke to him is indicated, but it is better not to shine it yet. Then Sasha wrote about what he was asked: the reasons for the regular participation in protests and the reasons for attempts to contact a certain person and some trips. We still cannot make out abbreviations in this line. He was threatened to throw him, apparently, drugs, maybe heroin - he marks this with one letter “G.”. As for the ZP, this is a passport. Since the enterprise on which Sasha worked is regime, his passport was stored at work and was given to him if necessary. After the next trip abroad, he decided not to return it, on this occasion he began problems at work. Apparently, just about this he writes. The fact that he was seized from a system unit on a working computer, he did not tell us anything, about attempts to recruit - too. Judging by the record, they found some personal information on his working computer and, possibly, in social networks, which they presented to him. ”

Black worker revolution
From that day, as it became known about Dolmatov’s suicide, his mother Lyudmila’s apartment is more like the headquarters: journalists are in stream. The New Times correspondent was met by Nechaev, who is now almost constantly at Dolmatov’s mother. Here is the cousin of Alexander Mikhail Doronin, who came to support Lyudmila Nikolaevna from Safonovo (Smolensk region). The author immediately spent a rather ascetic and not at all similar to the dwelling of a 36-year-old man: a narrow single bed, a computer table, two sideboards with tea sets and crystal, a couple of closed cabinets with books.
“There are many books on history, art, philosophy, a series of ZhZL, classical literature, the complete collected works of Limonov,” Nechaev shows.
In the corner of the room, some clothing is dumped, on top of which the toy lies-an old yellow bear. Finally, a half -time woman of about sixty in a black dress - Mom Dolmatova entered the room. She has a round swollen face and reddish, slightly swimming eyes. But for all the time she never cried. She sits on the bed of her son, sighs, and then begins to speak, without waiting for the first question.
“Sasha is always very shore, I did not talk a lot about what he was doing. Yes, and I was not particularly interested in: well, he drives and rides somewhere, you never know what kind of business he has. I myself am a simple person, I was not very interested in politics. And she was always sure that everything was fine with us. The son has an excellent job, he is a leading designer at a serious enterprise, an educated boy himself, well -read. But he was always interested in what was happening around, what the country lives, ”she says and shows a portrait of Sakharov, which Alexander kept on his table. One of the hobbies of his son was organ music - he loved Bach and Buystehuda*. “It happened, shouts:“ Mom, mothers, look, Bakhatehuda is no worse than Bach! ” He even decided to visit his homeland, went to Lubeck. "
| *Dietrich Buasthuda is a German composer of the XVII century. ** Until July 2011, the Tactical missile weapons corporation was part of the Roscosmos system, but then, according to the SPARK-Interfax system, it was transferred to the Federal Property Management Agency. *** In 2007, the NBP was officially banned, and in 2010 the party took the name "Another Russia". |
She knew almost nothing about his passion for politics.
Since 1999, Dolmatov has been consisting of a prohibited NBP party and, according to comrades, was an active member of it. National Bolsheviks Sergey Aksenov, in a conversation with The New Times, called him “the Black Enround of the Revolution”, “an ordinary fighter”: “He did not take any specialization on himself, but was wherever you can be.” According to him, Dolmatov briefly retired in the middle of the zero. At this time (2004), he just got a job at the Tactical missile weapons Corporation **, having graduated from graduate school of the Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation. In 2009, he was raised to the leading designer, which he was very proud of. Around the same time, he resumed active activity in another Russia ***. “For the past two years, he began to regularly enter the“ Strategy 31 ”shares, he was often detained, like everyone else. Where he works, we knew. We have quite a few people from the Moscow Region, including from the Queen, where they mainly work at defense enterprises, ”says Aksyonov.
“I came home at night. I did not even know where he was returning from. He opens the door and immediately: "Mommy!" I thought I walked somewhere, ”recalls Lyudmila Nikolaevna. The fact that the son is engaged in politics, the mother learned in the winter of 2012. Sasha said that he began troubles at work, that the authorities were coming from the police about his detentions on the shares of “Strategy 31”, and detained him almost every time, there were unpleasant conversations with the leadership and people “from structures”, after which he, according to his mother, came not his own. Problems began with a passport, which he mentioned in his note found by his mother. He, according to Sergei Aksenov, told his comrades in the NBP. But the details - who is talking to him, which threatened - did not report.
“He generally spoke about such things to Vitivato and half -jokingly,” adds Dmitry Nechaev. “But since we knew him well, we understood what it was about.”

| Lyudmila Dolmatova blames in the death of her son and Russia and Holland |
In winter, after the rallies began “For honest elections!”, The situation has aggravated. Dolmatov himself then said in an interview with the media: “The FSB officers threatened. I watched that they were talking with my leadership, terrorized questions about whether I could be a traitor. ”
He became suspicious. “Before you go out, I looked out the window. Or he looked in the doorway periodically, ”says Lyudmila Nikolaevna. He said that he was conducting surveillance, and the phone is listening.
Already in the spring, Dolmatov began to engage in English intensively, signed up for courses. He said to his mother that he was thinking of quitting the enterprise and looking for work in Moscow.
But the last straw was a rally on Bolotnaya Square on May 6 and the arrests that followed him. According to Dolmatov himself, in Bolotnaya he “was not the most peaceful”, he tried to beat off people from riot police, as a result he was detained one of the first. At the end of May, he moved to live with his acquaintances - he feared that they would come for him, began to draw up a Dutch visa. In Holland, he had been a tourist several times before, he liked the country, and he was sure: in this country, observing human rights is not an empty phrase. On June 8, he received a visa and already flew to Amsterdam with a transplant in Kyiv. On June 10, a search was held at home, during which the computer unit was seized. However, Lyudmila Nikolaevna neither the protocol of the search, nor some other papers at this time received it.
Fear
The first few months of his stay in Holland, Dolmatov was quite pleased with his life or, in any case, tried to convince his mother that he called every day, or even several times a day. He talked in detail about his life in the refugee center in the town of Gravelel, located 100 km from Rotterdam: what he buys for lunch, how he cooks, how he rides around the city on a bicycle, how he began to regularly go to church. He was very worried that he left his mother completely alone. He said that he would never have left Russia if he had not been persecuted. He did not apply about how the procedure for obtaining a refugee status was going on, but there was no doubt that the Department of Immigration and Naturalization of the Ministry of Security and Justice of the Netherlands (hereinafter - IND) would allow him to stay in the country. I talked little with friends - I preferred a chat in Skype.
And suddenly Dolmatov was replaced. About this The New Times was told by his Dutch lawyer Mark Vingarden (the United European human rights organization helped him with the defender): “This happened on November 15. He said that he no longer wants to talk about FSB agents and generally about Russian special services. He explained his new position "a deeper understanding of the situation." But before that, he himself willingly told the details, called the names of the FSB officers who crushed him and tried to recruit. I asked him what happened, whether anyone came to him, maybe someone threatened him. He denied and at the same time hid his eyes, avoided visual contact. It was a striking change: he used to be a fighter, he was ready to fight. In short, something clearly happened to him. ”
The lawyer refused to name the names of the FSB officers: “Not the time”, but he said that these were people both from the work of Dolmatov and in no way connected with her.
The lawyer confirmed that Dolmatov tried to recruit in order to receive information about his “political friends”, but he refused to cooperate with the Chekists. Could the FSB officers find Dolmatov in Holland? Vingarden replied: "I have such a suspicion, but he himself has never confirmed him." The lawyer said a similar question about the Dutch special services that he had warned his client that they might be interested in: “I told him not to believe their stories and should immediately contact me.”

"
On December 14, IND refused Dolmatov to provide political asylum. Reasons? The officials decided that the risk for Dolmatov in his homeland was small - a fine of 500 rubles. - For such an amount he was fined for the Strategy 31. “I have provided them with information that since then, Russian laws regarding street demonstrations have been tightened. I also said that in the case of riots on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, people were arrested and in prison, ”says Vingarden. “They just found the reason for refusing.” This is the usual practice of IND. They always try to refuse everyone who is possible. ”
Vingarden is sure that Dolmatov had very high chances to succeed in appeal, because this procedure already involves a trial and a more detailed approach to the case. But from December 14, his client disappeared - he did not appear at the meeting, during which it was supposed to discuss the appeal, and since then have never responded to calls, e -mail and SMS. Dolmatov did not inform his mother or friends of the refusal to the political fiction. He began to call his mother much less often, stopped in touch with friends, deleted his pages on Facebook and VKontakte - only through “Odnoklassniki” he congratulated his brother on the New Year.
“In the second half of December, he began to say:“ Can I come home? I am a Russian person, I have to live in Russia. ” I replied: “Sasha, for nothing. It is forbidden. You will come, you will be seized, twisted. And he repeated everything: “I want to go home, I want to go home,” says Lyudmila Nikolaevna. -Then he once told me: “Come on, mom, call me even more often. So it will be better. " I decided that it was for monetary reasons. ”

The last days
On January 6, Lyudmila Nikolaevna was with relatives in the town of Safonovo: she went to church, put several candles “for health” of her son and then decided to call him. Alexander answered something slurred and quickly finished the conversation. She decided to call again, but he no longer picked up the phone.
On January 7, his mother called him all day. He answered only in the evening. “He was in a sleepy state, he said that he was sleeping. During our conversation, someone went into his room and said something loudly-I did not understand whether it was in Russian or not. I ask: "Who is this?" And he says: "Yes, this is an Iranian, my neighbor." He told me about this neighbor before, but I have never heard his voices. It seemed intuitively that something was wrong, ”she says. On January 8 and 9, Dolmatov did not answer calls.
On January 8 , according to the correspondent of the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad, Hubert Smithsa, Dolmatov was not first noted, as it should be, at the refugee center in Gravelene.
On January 10, Dolmatov answered the mother’s phone call. “I say:“ Sasha, what are you? Why don't you pick up the phone? " And he is silent and suddenly says again: "I want to sleep." I ask: “Sasha, can you sleep so much? You sleep, two sleep, three. ” He says: "I understood." I ask: "Have you eaten?" And he is already everything, does not answer - as if he fell asleep. I was so scared. Maybe they stuffed him there with something. ” The only thing Mother Dolmatov said during this conversation that the last days his phone was allegedly broken. And this was the last time she spoke with her son.
On January 11, his lawyer Mark Vingarden appealed to the refusal to provide political asylum. On the same day, she was registered.
On January 13, Dolmatov was noted in the refugee center. Where he was for five days is unknown. Later, on the same day, he called the police and said that he had done something terrible-he caused harm/pain either to himself or to anyone else.

| Refugees Center in Gravelel, where Dolmatov lived for almost seven months | Deportation Center at the Rotterdam airport - actually a prison |
Nobody knows the literal content of Dolmatov’s conversation with the police, including his lawyer. Whether he tried to commit suicide that day, as reported more than once in the press, is also not known for certain. The arrived police officers did not find confirmation of Dolmatov’s words, but found him in “poor condition”: under alcohol, medicines or simply in a psychologically serious condition, is unknown. Upon learning that Dolmatov was refused to provide political asylum, the police took him to the area of the city of Dordrecht (22 km from Rotterdam).
On January 14, he was visited by a doctor who noted that Dolmatov’s mental state is normal and there is no reason to keep him further. However, since he was listed as a person who was refused the right to stay in Holland and he must be deported, he was not released, they invited the duty lawyer - H.U.F. Clarenaara. The New Times failed to contact him.
On the same day, lawyer Vingarden received confirmation that the appeal was adopted. Where his client was at that time, he did not know.
On January 16, the police took Dolmatov to the deportation center located at the Rotterdam airport. The clock was 20.30. Half an hour later, he sent two SMS to his Dutch acquaintance Marina. The messages dialed by the Latin was the following content: “I am in prison in Rotterdam, I need a lawyer” and “After 30” (perhaps it was a minute). He was placed in a department for people with a tendency to suicide, in a separate camera. At night, he was left alone, closing the door outside.
January 17 , at 7 a.m., he was found dead. Dolmatov hanged himself, leaving a suicide note in which he called himself a “traitor” (“betrayed an honest man, betrayed the safety of the Motherland”) and which seemed very strange to his mother, and friends, and a lawyer. “Such farewell notes are people who are going with life,” Mark Vingarden said The New Times. He learned about misfortune from employees of the deportation center. What happened at night in the cell, which he used Dolmatov for suicide - the Netherlands police promises that a detailed report will appear only in two months later. The body of Alexander Dolmatov will be brought to Russia in two weeks: bureaucratic bagpipes requires the design and transfer to Russian piles of papers. Delivery of the coffin to the airport in Moscow will pay the prison authorities of the Netherlands. In Holland itself, as many as four investigations have begun. Вопрос главный: что случилось с Александром Долматовым в те пять дней января, когда его никто не мог найти, с кем он встречался и кто убедил его в том, что смерть — единственный для него выход?
