Anshakov is not lying!

The Chairman of the Society for the Protection of Consumer Rights (OCPP), Mikhail Anshakov, was charged under Part 2 of Art. 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (libel contained in a public speech) in connection with the publication of an interview in Novaya Gazeta, reports the SOVA Information and Analytical Center.

The case was initiated on the basis of a statement from the executive director of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior (CHS) Foundation Vasily Poddevalin in October 2012. Poddevalin considered the information published in Anshakov’s interview that there are offices of commercial firms, a car wash, a car service center, a parking lot, a laundry, a canteen and shopping pavilions on the territory of the KhHSS as slanderous.

The indictment states that “the case file contains an inspection report of the temple premises, from which it follows that there are no commercial facilities, including a car wash, a car service center, a tire shop, a parking lot for 305 cars, a laundry, a dining room and numerous pavilions selling jewelry , souvenirs and other consumer goods, 15 commercial firms were not found in the temple during the inspection with the participation of forensic experts, which served as the basis for criminal prosecution for the dissemination of deliberately slanderous information .”

I don’t know about 15 commercial firms, but there’s definitely a canteen! I myself ate there, as recently as January 24 - Ural cabbage soup, Olivier salad and pies, with meat and apples. Everything is very good. The forensic experts apparently weren’t hungry, so they didn’t find it.
