The New Times asked famous people: "What would you say to teenagers who find out they are homosexual"?*
Kirill Serebrennikov, director:
I have one wish for homosexual teenagers: “Guys, leave Russia as soon as possible. You won't be happy here."
In 2010, journalist Dan Savage and his husband Terry Miller created the It Gets Better project. This site appeared after a series of suicides among LGBT teenagers in the United States, it hosts videos in which politicians, actors, musicians, private people - from Lady Gaga to Barack Obama - tell teenagers that with age they will be able to overcome all difficulties and they will be a life full of happiness, love and understanding. The New Times is picking up the idea—in other territory.
