"Bismillah-r-rhmani-r-rhim!" (“In the name of Allah, gracious and merciful”), ”shouts in Arabic alone. “You are in the Muslim district! You are approaching the mosque! Go away and don't come back! " - Gnuso Doldonit another. “Who are you guys? What the hell?" “We are an Islamic patrol.”
The story is this: several young men from Muslim families appointed themselves to be jealous of morality and morality in the territory adjacent to the Mosque of East London, and began to be on duty there in the evenings and nights, fighting “sin”. The "warriors" molested drunken citizens and not modestly dressed (from their point of view) to citizens, ashamed them and drove them away.
One passerby “combatants” was left without beer, forcing to pour the contents of the can on the ground. And at the same time gave him a lecture that alcohol is evil. Another young woman was commanded to get away from behind an too short skirt. This and other feats were shot on mobile phones and the shot was then laid out on the Internet. One of the videos caused a particularly wide resonance: on it the “Muslim Cossacks” in particularly sharp expressions threatened Gaia passing by. Moreover, it was evident in everything: they, perhaps, first speak with a person who does not hide their non -standard sexual orientation, and this leads them to a state of almost exaltation: “To think only: a real, living gay! And we shame him, order never to appear in the Muslim district! " In the voices of the young men, joyful excitement rang.
But a video with a tipsy passerby was called "The truth about the Saturday evening." And after all, it is curious, part of the truth is really here. Indeed, in fact, the late Saturday night in East London, and in some areas of other British cities, it is scary to be on the street: both drink and buy drugs, they are in a state of intoxication roaming the streets, mockery, mocking normal inhabitants. So many peaceful British would not have objected at all if, in the late hours in the problem areas, someone supported public order so that you could walk without worrying about their safety without fear of children. But somehow I do not want to trust this role for young Islamists.
"
"I do not believe my ears - we are in the UK!" - "Not so great Britain, not so great!"
“However, Vidzhilants exist in the USA and in many other countries of the world. And everywhere they create more problems than they solve. In some places-in Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and so on-the fundamentalists' patrols even use direct or indirect support of the authorities. In Britain, indignant public opinion required urgent measures, and the police immediately conducted investigation of incidents in At first, two-year-olds were arrested by the Waitchepel. “Anti-Islamic” and even the same positions were performed by representatives of the East Longonian communities and the local administration of the Tower-Hamlets district ...

| Who released these booklets listing what is prohibited in the Sharia zone is still a mystery |
In contrast, say, the Russian “Cossack patrols”, their London Islamic “colleagues” were not dressed in historical costumes of past eras - typical hooligans of East London, in sneakers, tight -fitting pants and with hoods covering faces. And they have a gait characteristic of local punks, the same manners, gestures, emphasis, rude, not yet strongly stronger boy voices ... crowded with hormones that do not find the use of individuals, looking for adventures and street romance. You can affirm yourself and sublimate in the hooligan gopnik gangs, or you can in Sharia patrols. You can indulge in drugs and scare passers -by, or you can protect the Muslim district. The essence is the same, with all the apparent opposite of goals and values. So at first glance, an incident with a Muslim patrol seems to be a ridiculous trifle, and the noise that rose on this occasion is a storm in a glass of water.
But in fact, this is not a trifle, and the public is not in vain worried. Behind the actions of unlucky adolescents is someone's completely adult mindset and worldview.
Firstly, something similar happened earlier: last year in another area of East London-in Newham-leaflets that were proclaimed the dominance of Sharia were already appeared on the pillars. Then the group of “ethnic youth” passed through the streets, chanting: “Dirty prostitutes, get out of our streets!”
In addition, no matter how outraged by the youths the leaders of the respectable Islamic organizations were indignant, inside the communities, if not methods, then the intentions of the “warriors” probably caused approval and sympathy for many. There is no doubt that they would have a lot of imitators throughout the country, if not restraining the role of communal leaders and representatives of the older generation. And they are seriously worried that such open attempts to impose Islamic values to the indigenous population will inevitably lead (and have already brought) to an increase in anti -Islamic sentiments. “The laws of Islam are only Muslims ... Sharia postulates that people belonging to other cultures are free to live in accordance with their own principles,” said the representative of the British Muslim Council.
Most likely, most Muslims quite sincerely want peaceful coexistence of various religious, legal and moral systems. But there are not so few those who are cunning: in fact, they are worried that the “warriors” from Whitechepel were given a game. What was not intended for prying views - creeping “Sharias” came to the surface. According to the Civil Society Institute of Civil Society, at least 85 Shariah courts are already operating in the UK. Some areas of London, Birmingham, Liverpool turned into a kind of ghetto, where secular British laws almost do not act.
Disputes about Britain
Most British Muslims are immigrants from Hindustan (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh) and, accordingly, belong to Deobanda, who is dominant there, close to Wahhabism and Salafism, and hence the warlike ideology that al-Qaeda considers his ideological platform. This, of course, does not mean at all that any adherent of Deobandism is a certain terrorist or sharia “patrol”. No, most of them are quite peaceful people. But for many of them, confessional affiliation goes ahead of the civilian, they are primarily Muslims, and in a very strict interpretation of this term, and then the British. Often it can be heard that for a sufficiently large number of believers, “Britishness” has very small or no value and value of the country of being alien to them.
On one of the video posted on the Internet, night sentinels enter the polemic with a young woman, by the way, not at all looking drunk, and dressed, by European standards, is quite decent. “I do not believe my ears,” she says in response to calls to leave the “Muslim district”, “we are in the UK!” In response to this, the “patrol” begins to chant: “Not so great Britain, not so great!” He repeats this slogan several times and with obvious pleasure, as if emphasizing that for the “owner” of the territory, loyalty in relation to the country of stay is an empty phrase.
It may well be, however, that this is not some deeply thought out and sensed position, but only shocking, a manifestation of youthful maximalism-what we, they say, are steep ... It is possible that this youth will overcome, grow up and lose their desire to build their special civilization inside or even at the fragments of a stranger. So, after all, it has already happened a great many times in the history of mankind. In normal society, revolutionaries most often safely turn into inhabitants with age. And only in the abnormal revolution becomes a reality.
Complex statistics
However, there are also uniform uncles in Britain - supporters of the active advancement of Sharia. One of the most famous figures of this series is Anjem Chowdry. “This area (Whitchepel) is an Islamic zone, and they (“ combatants ”) must be praised,” he said. Earlier, Chowdry was known as a representative of the currently prohibited radical Islamist organizations-al-Muhajirun, al-Hurabaa, Islam-Fo-Jukei. They openly set the task of creating Islamic emirates in British cities and even the gradual transformation of all Britain into caliphate.
How a real prospect is this? According to the 2011 census, now 4.8% of residents consider themselves Muslims in England and Wales. Their share in the population grows steadily, but not very fast. Some believe that by 2030 there will be about 7%. A lot, but very far from the position of the dominant religion.
More and more mosques are also being built. In 1961, there were only seven of them throughout the country. Now there are more than one and a half thousand of them, and about 60% belong to the deobande direction.
But the deobandis are also subject to the same laws as the rest of humanity. The higher the level of education, the more complex relationships become with faith, the less a tendency to blindly accept dogmas, the greater the element of tolerance to dissenting, dissenting. And by the way, the lower birth rate.
Meanwhile, sociologists say: in Britain, natives from Hindustan are ahead of all other ethnic groups in academic performance in schools. In ordinary British schools, not in the madrasah! Every year the number of offspring of Indian and Pakistani families entering universities is growing. Contrary to all Chowdry of the world, the integration of new generations into British society takes place.
It is obvious that two multidirectional, opposite processes are underway: some Muslims are increasingly radicalized, the other part, on the contrary, is deeply poured into British society, freely or involuntarily adopting its values. Which of the two trends will win - depends on many factors, external and internal. Including relations with Muslims of everyone else. And this attitude is becoming more hostile. According to public opinion polls, only every fourth Briton is positive about Islam and Muslims. On the one hand, this can be understood - who will like the explosions in the metro*, the closure of closed Sharia areas and even Islamic patrols, which newspapers write about in such a panic tone.
| *July 7, 2005 In the London Metro in the wagons of three trains, explosive devices worked almost simultaneously. 56 people were killed, including four terrorists, more than 700 were injured. |
But it is also obvious that any manifestations of radicalism and intolerance on both sides only feed each other. And we must figure out how to break this vicious circle.
