On February 7 at 12.00 in Moscow at 3rd Frunzenskaya 12, an attack was carried out on the premises where the children's art studios "Mother's School" and "The Birth of a Thing" are located, which have been operating there since 1967 and 1999, respectively. The locks were broken and fifteen people broke in. Among them, according to witnesses of the attack, was the head of the municipality of the Khamovniki intra-city municipality, Yuri Panov. Children's works of artistic value were removed from the premises in a Gazelle car. In addition, ceramics were broken and many other artistic objects were destroyed. These actions are an act of arbitrariness and vandalism and fall under Part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
It is reported that the removal of items on the Gazelle began on February 6 in the evening. The so-called municipality employees refused to introduce themselves, stated that the property belonged to the municipality and that they should let the children sue. The arriving police stated that they were not involved in property conflicts. The policeman has still not arrived, and without him none of the studios can go inside, since the rioters have changed the locks.
Parents will seek to initiate a criminal case on the grounds of arbitrariness and vandalism. The district government has long been sharpening its teeth on the basement in which the “Mother’s School” and “The Birth of a Thing” are located. Parents already had to be on duty in the studio at night, waiting for guests with bad intentions. At the moment, there is some very strange court decision, which states that the director of the “Mother’s School” has no right to be at the specified address. The court decision does not say anything at all about the “Birth of a Thing.” There have been no court decisions regarding the eviction of studios and their property. The idea of the municipality employees, as Alexandra Parushina, deputy of the municipal assembly of the Khamovniki district, says, is to settle a youth center in the basement, controlled by the local authorities. In this regard, a competition was held, in which the said youth center under the wonderful name “Khamovchonok” won, but after the parents of the children studying in the studios filed a lawsuit, it turned out that the competition was held with numerous violations.
