While the lovely woman, famous TV presenter and member of the Coordination Council of the opposition Tatyana Lazareva is tormented by the question of whether she should join the jury that will select torchbearers for the upcoming Olympics, our main torchbearer, Vladimir Putin, arrived in summer-warm Sochi to inspect the preparations objects and find the chairman of the board of directors of the North Caucasus Resorts state corporation, Akhmed Bilalov, who also happened to be the deputy chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee. Putin inspected the facilities, but Mr. Bilalov was never found. However, no one understood why the president needed this official. Apparently to give him a dressing down. But as the inspection progressed, it turned out that it was not Mr. Bilalov’s structures that were now responsible for the delivery of the facility under the self-explanatory name “Mountain Carousel,” but Sberbank and, accordingly, German Gref. The latter, when asked whether there was a recalculation of the estimate during construction, was forced to admit that some did occur - the increase in cost amounted to some four hundred percent.
Vladimir Putin did not publicly comment on this news and suggested continuing to inspect the objects, but, apparently, there were no more objects suitable for at least some kind of inspection... Moreover, the midday sun began to burn mercilessly.
Vladimir Putin will sum up the results of this business visit on Thursday in the presence of IOC representatives, who are in constant and inescapable delight at everything that happens to them on Russian soil.
