Trial of Stanislav Pozdnyakov

On Thursday, February 7, at 10:00 in the hall of the 17th Tver District Court of Moscow, an open meeting will be held in the case of the activist of Solidarity Stanislav Pozdnyakov, accused of beating a police officer. According to Article 318 of the Criminal Code, the activist faces up to five years in the colony.

On April 1, 2012, Pozdnyakov took part in a walk along Red Square with white ribbons. On that day, the area was "closed for repairs", about 30 people were detained. In the Tver ATS, one of the police officers hit the activist in the face. “An employee attacked me in the police department, I tried to defend myself. I didn’t use violence against him,” Pozdnyakov himself said.

On May 31, after the detention on the strategy-31 shares, the activist was delivered to the Tver police department, where they reported that a criminal case had been instituted against him. At the same time, the investigator gave the activist only to briefly familiarize himself with the decision, and then he took it away. Pozdnyakov also did not receive copies of the document.

The previous meeting, scheduled for January 22, was postponed in connection with the failure of the victim.
