Alanian Assumption Monastery
I will continue the photo story about a trip to the Fiagdon gorge . The last place where we visited was the highest Orthodox monastery of Russia - Alansky Assumption, several photographs of the interior of the Iveron temple of which are in this record.
Initially, the monastery was organized in 2000 in Beslan, but later moved to the Fiagdon (Kurtatinsky) gorge, now 11 monks live here. Unfortunately, the rainy weather did not have a photograph, so I have few photos.
1. The Miro-Coon Church (Church of the Wives of the Mironos), built at the beginning of the 20th century, was re-restored and opened in February 2004. 
2. The central temple of the monastery is Iversky, its architecture in the style of the 12th century. 
3. The temple is being erected in honor of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, which the Georgian Queen of Tamara gave the Ossetians eight centuries ago.
