85 residents of Crimea, who returned the authorities to overhaul, which the state allegedly overpaid them received this money back. According to RIA Novosti, citing an employee of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory, the total amount of the transferred funds amounted to 14.6 million rubles.
At the end of January, the Krymsk authorities demanded that more than 200 families return part of the compensation. As stated in letters sent by the social protection authorities, the measurements for calculating compensation were incorrectly and the area of destruction in the houses is much less. Meanwhile, in the Ministry of Social Protection of the Krasnodar Territory, the error explained by the fact that some structures were evaluated, and others paid the money.
On February 5, Izvestia reported that the Ministry of Regional Development intends to sue from residents of Crimesk the money paid by him by mistake. “If residents do not voluntarily return, then we will apply to the courts,” said the head of the department Igor Slyunyaev.
Later on the same day, President Putin said that the extra money paid to the inhabitants of Krymsk should remain with the victims. "According to estimates, the total amount of such overpayments amounted to about 26 million rubles. There is nothing wrong, but what should not be done - this is to select this money from people because they could spend it," Putin said. “I would not particularly swear here who thought so: I remember in what conditions the work was going on,” the head of state commented on the error in the calculations made by officials.
After that, the Krasnodar Governor Alexander Tkachev promised that in the near future the money would return to the inhabitants of Krymsk.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office of the region, having considered 161, the requirement received by citizens from social protection authorities, found that 54 decisions on the return of compensation are unfounded. As the representative of the department specified, 33 illegal decisions were made due to errors of the regional and municipal authorities when calculating the area of damage, in relation to 10 due to the incorrect determination of shares in the right of ownership, and in relation to another “without any reason”.
