Why don't we set our homework?

There is no mandatory DZ in our school. The body should be restored at home after a six -hour sitting at the desk. It is difficult to work without DZ: I always want to give at least a little, well, for 10 minutes, well, at least one exercise ... But, these 10 minutes turn at home in 30-40 minutes, multiply by 6-7 items-what happens? It turns out homework in mathematics with my grandmother (because not all parents can withstand it) until one in the morning; tears, screams, torn notebooks and, as a result, - the saving volume of GDZ; And at school - low children, with dummy eyes, are small programmed creatures who carry out the program for our conversations, "that study, children, this is a fascinating business."

Myopia, scoliosis, gastritis, atrophy of will and computer games weekend - this is the result of such a program.

Unfortunately, there is no unequivocal-after all, not quite the correct answer. Because "good grades" is the main indicator of the school for both the official and for the ordinary parent. "Good assessment" - she is now, at the end of the week; And health problems, physical and mental, after 35 years. Therefore, we did not have the spirit of completely abandoning the DZ, and we have developed the following rule: a compulsory task arises only if the child, displeased with his assessment for the topic, said: "Do not put it, I will improve!". Having pronounced this phrase, he took his home work - homework.

Of course, we freed children and parents from sitting at home not to sit for hours in front of the computer monitor and play network games - boys; And hung on the phone - girls. We refused the DZ in the hope that the free time will be engaged in sports, arts and any incomparable work.

And the last. Having announced the moratorium on the obligatory DZ, we are always ready to load, fill the students with work: not harshly compulsory, interesting, unexpected and voluntary. This is the so -called non -standard task. Each teacher offers "something like that." This is a strictly voluntary work, and if the child is in no hurry to show his goodwill, you should not look at him with reproach. The main thing in our business is endurance.

Of course, many parents (teachers) do not really like this approach. "There is no need to have goodwill, all these are illusions, they think, - it’s better to just give and ask." So think - this is an illusion, an almost communist illusion. It is as if, if a child is given a lot, then he, joyful, will go to do everything, and all people will be happy. You can ironize about the optional creative task, but our first task is to cultivate this kind of will in the child and support interest in life. By the way, from a third to two -third students in our school do this work!
