Mount Sinyukha

In the Altai Territory, unlike the Altai Republic, there are very few mountains. In small peaks of up to 2 thousand meters in the region, only the southern regions can boast. But not always small - it means boring. In the photographs of Mount Sinyukha (Kuryinsky district, Altai Territory) and its surroundings.

Mount Sinyukha (1210 m) is the highest point of the Kolyvan ridge. A wonderful panorama opens from its slopes on the Kulundin steppe leaving over the horizon and the spurs of the Kolyvan ridge in the south.

Not far from the top is the famous Kolivansky stone -cutting plant, the same one where the Queen of VAZ was made. At one time, many ore-subjecters, travelers and scientists of the 18th century visited the slopes of the Sinyuhi.

The peak itself is considered a sacred place and is the object of pilgrimage at the top and at its foot there are Orthodox crosses. The climb to the top itself is not composed, in the summer they even go here with children.

In the photographs November month, almost winter. We climbed to the top in fresh snow, it was a little slippery and cool. At this time, a chilling wind often blows up there.

Nevertheless, it is worth climbing the top at this time, there is simply an amazing winter fairy tale. In the summer it is not so beautiful, in general, in my opinion, the best time to visit Sinyukha is autumn (September) and winter (starting in November). The mountain is not sick and in the summer it looks completely different.
