The head of the Chelyabinsk administration, Sergei Davydov, in connection with the fall of the meteorite, asks employers to send employees home to check apartments and relatives; classes at schools are canceled during the second shift, according to the city administration website.
“I would like to appeal to the heads of enterprises and organizations with a request, if possible, to send employees home to figure out what is happening with the apartments. The second shift at schools is canceled today. We ask parents to pick up their children from kindergartens and schools if possible. If this is not possible, do not worry , the children will be supervised and safe. But it’s still better for the families to reunite and be together at this time,” says S. Davydov’s appeal posted on the administration’s website.
Due to the fact that a large number of windows have been broken, the city administration is taking measures to restore the glazing in the buildings.
“Citizens whose homes were damaged by this natural phenomenon, please contact the city’s housing and communal services department, district administrations, and management companies. We will assist in restoring the glazing. Everything will be done at the expense of the city budget,” S. Davydov emphasized .
