Socialist Revolutionary Mikheev is deprived of deputy immunity

The State Duma granted the request of the Prosecutor General, having deprived the immunity of the deputy from "Fair Russia" Oleg Mikheev, who is suspected of fraud. According to RIA Novosti, 297 votes were filed for such a decision with the necessary 226. 59 opposed, the four abstained.

On December 25, 2012, the supervisory authority sent a request to the State Duma to deprive immunity and prosecution of Mikheev and his colleagues from the Communist Party of the Communist Party Konstantin Shirshov. According to investigators, they offered a certain entrepreneur to "buy" the mandate of the State Duma deputy. Having received a part of the required amount from the businessman in July 2011 - 66 million rubles - Mikheev and Shirshov promised to include him in the federal list of candidates for deputies of the State Duma of the sixth convocation.

In addition, Mikheev is suspected of three more crimes. This is the unlawful seizure of 14 real estate objects belonging to the Volgograd Motor -Building Plant, for a total of over 500 million rubles, attempt on theft by fraud 2.1 billion rubles of Promsvyazbank and obstruction of justice. In addition, in November 2012, several banks (including Promsvyazbank) accused Mikheev of embezzlement. Finally, in January 2013, the prosecutor’s office of Kazakhstan, who sent the State Duma to Sergey Naryshkin, a letter with a message on the company’s debt, the guarantor for which Mikheev acted as Mikheev’s obligations, claimed the deputy.

On February 11, the Duma Committee on Regulations recommended that the lower house support the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office. The adoption of this decision in the committee met the resistance of the Socialist -Revolutionaries, which declared that Mikheev’s immunity was unnecessary, since he expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

The next day, the deputy from Fair Russia Dmitry Gudkov announced the intention of the Socialist Revolutionaries to pass on February 13 by a procession from the building of the Lower Chamber to the Prosecutor General’s Office to support Mikheev, and achieve a meeting with the head of the department Yuri Chaika. However, the action did not take place - Mikheev went to the supervisory authority alone, after they called the supervisory authority into the faction of “Fair Russia” and offered a meeting with Chaika. Nevertheless, the prosecutor general did not accept the deputy and Mikheev had to communicate with the deputy seagull.

Socialist -Revolutionaries invariably rejected all the accusations against him, claiming that he had documentary evidence of his innocence. "I do not admit to any of the four episodes, all by 100 percent is not true, turned upside down," he said.

In the ranking of the richest officials and deputies compiled by Forbes, Mikheev takes 35th place. Before becoming a deputy, he officially owned the Diamant group, which owns shopping centers, hotels and other real estate.

Unlike Mikheev, Shirshov, devoid of immunity on February 13, did not defend her to the last. He sent a statement to Naryshkin asking him to deprive him of immunity without a detailed discussion of this issue at a meeting of the lower house.
