Education Minister Livanov stripped 11 people of their academic degrees

Russian Education Minister Dmitry Livanov signed 11 orders depriving academic degrees of individuals who defended their work in the dissertation council at Moscow State Pedagogical University. The minister announced this on his Twitter .

On February 11, the expert council of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) under the Ministry of Education and Science recommended depriving academic degrees of ten people who did not write their dissertations independently. The list included former director of the Specialized Educational and Scientific Center of Moscow State University Andrei Andriyanov, head of the administration of the capital's Zamoskvorechye district Nonna Kharitonova, consultant of the Department of External Economic and International Relations of Moscow Galina Aliluiko and chief of staff of the Commissioner for Human Rights for the Astrakhan Region Daniar Batrashev.

The Minister of Education did not specify who exactly he deprived of scientific degrees. There is no official news on the Ministry of Education and Science website yet.
