One of the credit products - at a rate of 13% per annum with a minimum loan amount of 500,000 rubles for a period of three to 15 months - is designed for people with above-average incomes, says Yusupov. The second credit product with a rate of 18-22% and a loan amount of 100,000 to 1.5 million rubles is designed for people with more modest incomes. By the end of the year, the bank expects to issue loans totaling more than 2 billion rubles for these credit products alone, and plans to increase the pace of lending in the future.

"Being part of a financial group, the bank has the opportunity to attract funding at fairly low rates and form attractive product offers for clients," says Yusupov. The bank expects the margin to be 6-7%. With the help of retail lending, the bank expects to attract new clients to FG BCS, notes Yusupov.

Finam (one of BCS's competitors) has also turned its attention to retail lending. Finam Bank, part of the investment holding company Finam, offers credit cards and loans secured by securities.
