February 18, Monday

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the fact of riots in IK-6 in the city of Kopeisk . On November 24–25, 2012, the convicts staged a protest in the colony, opposing the requisitions and beatings from the colony employees. On December 25, 2012, a criminal case was instituted against the head of the colony Denis Meterov, who was taken under house arrest, but was released the next day on the recognizance of a lower leave.

The metropolitan city hall refused the organizers of the march “For Muscovites for the Rights” in the holding of a protest campaign in Moscow on March 2.

Historian Irina Karatsuba and Philologist Elena Volkova conducted an action to support convicted persons in the Pussy Riot case on the anniversary of Punk-Love in XXH . Wearing balaclava, with bouquets of multi -colored tulips, they entered the temple and tried to put flowers on the salt. They were detained and delivered to the Khamovniki police department, from where they were released after a preventive conversation.

The Basmanny Court of Moscow authorized the absentee arrest of the Georgian politician Givi Targamadze , who is accused of Russia of preparing riots on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012.

February 22, Friday

The Ministry of Education and Science prepared an order that would allow the leadership of universities to expel students to participate in protest . The project does not spell out what kind of disciplinary violations the student can be expelled. “As a result, any student can be expelled for any offense,” the Russian Student Union said.
