Ex-head of the URA.RU portal Aksanan Panov, investigators of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Sverdlovsk Region finally accused of four crimes, including those related to extortion and fraud on an especially large scale, according to the website of the department.
“The whole thing is built on envy, betrayal and false denunciations,” the civil husband of Panova, the head of the City without drugs, Evgeny Roizman on his blog , has already commented on the accusation.
Panov is accused of assigning more than 12 million rubles, which she allegedly transferred from the account of the Internet portal she headed to the accounts of nominal organizations and cashed out in order to spend on her own needs. In addition, she, according to investigators, received 1 and 3 million rubles from entrepreneurs by extorting under the threat of the spread of defamatory information.
Also, the ex-head is accused of fraud using an official position on theft of 100 thousand rubles when concluding an agreement.
The prosecution was made the day before, the investigation of the criminal case was completed, and Panov, her defender and victims were notified of this. Now, first, the victims, and then the accused and her lawyer have the right to get acquainted with the case materials, which after that will be sent to the prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region and then to the court. According to the article on the extortion of Panova, up to 15 years in prison threatens.
Investigators revealed facts of extortion during interrogations of representatives of legal entities, ITAR-TASS notes. The victims claim that the journalists of the URA.RU portal disseminated negative information about a particular person or the organization, while the information could both correspond to reality and be fictitious. Then, the "agreed" person was supposed to pay for further "silence", and for a higher reward of the "client" they could begin to praise.
According to investigators, if the victims refused to pay even after making a certain amount, then the portal continued to disseminate the information defaming them.
As part of the criminal investigation at the agency, police officers conducted large -scale searches , which were later recognized by the court illegal and seized documents. Panova is currently under the recognizance not to leave. She is the chief editor of the new news agency Znak.com, the portal Ura.ru was headed by its former deputy Mikhail Vyugin. The accused itself denies everything and claims that the money was not kidnapped, but went to the employees for salaries.
Evgeny Roizman, recall, from the very beginning claimed that criminal cases were instituted on false denunciations . In his opinion, part of the affairs was aroused at the request of the general director of the "regional television" Anton Stulikov, and one of the cases - "for the denunciation of the assistant communist Shadrin Belousov." “There is no crime event there. There is only one reason - information policy and unbending. And personal,” the social activist said.
The security forces campaign against the URA.RU agency began in September 2012. In addition to the fact that in the URA.RU office, as well as searches were held in the houses of the agency, the chief accountant of the publication Natalya Popova was detained and spent 72 hours in the IVS, after which she was released in the status of the suspect. After that, several more criminal cases related to URA.RU was opened in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The journalists themselves associate all the problems of URA.RU with the conflict with the main owner of the company. “At the end of the summer, the agency’s team worsened relations with the regional authorities, and as a result - with the main owner (BF Ten, controlled by entrepreneurs Alexei Bobrov and Artem Bikov). The conflict resulted in the initiation of a criminal case on the fact that the agency’s account of funds allegedly had,” the editorial workers said.
