In Stavropol, residents overpaid more than a billion rubles for water

Residents of the Stavropol Territory for 2010-2012 overpaid more than a billion rubles for water. This was reported on the website of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the North Caucasus Federal District.

As noted in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, searches are carried out on this fact in the office of the State Unitary Enterprise "Stavropolcravodokanal". The police explained that the officials of the enterprise are suspected of fraud and abuse of powers, as a result of which the residents of Stavropol were damaged by 1.149 billion rubles.

The police found that from January 2010 to October 2012, the tariff for water supply was unleasant in the Stavropol Territory, the costs associated with the loss of water in the communal water supply system were unreasonably included in payment documents.

Searches are also carried out in the Pyatigorsk branch of this organization.
