The Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced the leader of the youth movement "Russian jogging" Maxim Kalinichenko to imprisonment for a period of 2.5 years conditionally, RIA Novosti reports. The court sentenced the second defendant Igor Panferov to one year conditionally. The case against the third accused, who is in the hospital of Maxim Alexandrov, was allocated in a separate production.
Kalinichenko was found guilty under part 4 of Article 33 and part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement to commit the application of violence in relation to a representative of the authorities) and part 3 of Article 212 (calls for active disobedience to the legal requirements of government representatives and mass riots). His accomplices were accused only under article 318.
The state prosecutor asked the court to appoint Kalinichenko a punishment in the form of seven years in prison. Panferov the prosecutor asked for three years in a colony.
Kalinichenko himself did not admit his guilt in court. In his last word, he asked the court to remove all the charges from him and initiate a criminal case "against the persons who fabricated this case."
At the announcement of the verdict in the case of the leader of the "Russian jog", many supporters came, who were dressed in T -shirts with the symbols of the movement, as well as the leaders of the St. Petersburg opposition and human rights activists. The audience met the court decision with applause and cries: "This is our common victory!" And "Freedom to Maxim Kalinichenko!"
After the sentence, Kalinichenko himself took the convict, the judge said that he would be released immediately after all formalities were observed.
Kalinichenko was detained on December 10, 2011 for violating the process of processing. All the time before the trial, he spent in custody. The activist was accused of the fact that he, being a participant in the unauthorized procession on Nevsky Prospekt, called on the participants of the action to violence against police officers.
Domososs of Anderei Pesotsky noted that the case against Kalinichenko was fabricated. "After arriving on the day of the rally to the Mayakovskaya metro station, Kalinichenko was roughly detained by the police. While Max was dragged into the office bus, a hint of third parties and police officers ensued, during which Babchenko’s menth stumbled on the paving fencing and fell his face on the asphalt. Then he went to the hospital, took off his fights, drew up for three weeks and dare. He was still in force for damage, ”he wrote on a blog on Echo of Moscow.
According to him, investigators combined this incident with the publication of Kalinichenko earlier on his VKontakte page by a kind of "manifesto". “So they collected the case by pieces as a designer from details, which can only combine a bad fantasy or modern“ justice, ”Pesotsky noted.
Numerous shares were held in defense of Kalinichenko. He was recognized as political prisoner, his surname was included in the list, transferred to the authorities in early 2012 by the organizers of protests. At a meeting on January 20, members of the CSU adopted resolutions in support of Kalinichenko of another political prisoner Daniil Konstantinov.
