A new criminal case was instituted against Silvio Berlusconi, whose party in the recent election with a minimum margin of votes was won by the left -centric coalition. The Naples prosecutor’s office accuses the former prime minister of giving bribes, corruption and illegal financing of political parties. According to investigators, Berlusconi proposed 3 million euros to Senator Sergio de Gregorio. He wanted to ensure the transition of Prime Minister Romano Prodi to the camp of the right opposition. Prodi was a member of the left -centric coalition.

Currently, a safe for storing the values ​​of the leader of the Freedom Party is sealed and will remain at the disposal of the financial fraud service until the special order of the prosecutor's office. A request was submitted to the parliament on the beginning of the investigation. Berlusconi is also accused of wiretapping telephone records and conversations, reports Corriere Della Sera .
