A resident of the city of Chistopol (Tatarstan) was detained on suspicion of violent acts of a sexual nature against his young daughter, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for Tatarstan, Andrei Sheptytsky, told the Interfax-Volga region agency.
A 32-year-old man was detained on the basis of a statement from his wife, to whom he allegedly confessed that he had raped his daughter since she was 4 years old.
“According to the investigation, the father committed violent acts against the child from 2010 to 2013. He was detained and a medical examination was ordered,” said A. Sheptytsky.
A criminal case has been initiated under Art. 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violent acts of a sexual nature).
The detainee does not admit his guilt, claiming, in particular, that his wife slandered him.
