Yashin was changed to return the money seized during the search, seeing the "paw of Targamadze"

The Moscow Basmanny Court refused to oblige the investigation to return the money that was withdrawn from him during the searches, having heard about their possible "Georgian" origin.

The investigation “has reason to believe” that these funds could enter the search for Georgian politician Givi Targamadze and be intended to organize mass riots in the Russian Federation, investigator Dmitry Pleshivtsev said in court during the consideration of Yashin’s petition for a refund. According to him, Yashin during the searches on June 11, 2012 seized 123 thousand rubles and $ 12,415, the origin of which he could not explain, Interfax reports.

Meanwhile, during the investigation of the criminal case on the facts of the film "Anatomy of Protest-2", it turned out that the riots in Russia were funded by foreigners, "in particular, Targamadze, in foreign currency, and in US dollars," the investigator emphasized.

At the same time, Yashin stated in one of the interrogations that he was not conducting any financial activities, and "there is no information about Yashin as a taxpayer in the federal database," the representative of the UK explained the claim.

For the above reasons, the investigation asked Yashin not to return the money, and the federal judge Natalya Mushnikova rejected Yashin’s complaint about the actions of the investigators. The judge noted that on October 8 last year, the investigation really decided to return to Yashin money in accordance with his petition.

However, on February 7, the investigation issued a new resolution - a complete refusal to satisfy the opposition’s requirement. In this regard, the court considered that the grounds that served as the reason for filing a complaint were now disappeared, ”the judge explained.

Yashin’s lawyer told reporters about his readiness to appeal the decision. Yashin himself emphasized earlier that he demands to return the money, since he was a witness in the “swamp case”, he was not charged with him, and the money was seized in his absence.

It was replied in the UK that the money was not returned, as they check the source of their origin in the framework of the “big business” on preparation for riots in the Russian Federation, for which this money could be used.

On January 10, the TFR announced that the criminal case on the fact of the mass riots on Bolotnaya Square was combined with the case of preparing mass riots in the Russian Federation for the Russian Federation regarding Sergey Udaltsov, Leonid Razvozzhaev and Konstantin Lebedev, excited in October 2012 following the audit of the information set out in the film “Anatomy of Protest-2” of the NTV TV channel.

As part of the investigation, Yashin, Udaltsov, Alexei Navalny, Boris Nemtsov and Ksenia Sobchak were interrogated as witnesses. The money seized during searches from Sobchak, Udaltsov and Navalny later returned the owners.
