The court left Ignatenko under arrest

The former first deputy prosecutor of the Moscow Region Alexander Ignatenko, extradited from Poland to Russia as part of the "gambling", was left under arrest until July 1. The corresponding decision was made by the appeal instance of the Moscow City Court, refusing to satisfy the appeal of the defense, RIA Novosti reports.

Ignatenko defenders emphasized that his accusation is based only on the testimony of persons interested in the outcome of the case. At the same time, the principle of adversariality of the parties was violated, lawyers believe. In addition, the defense drew attention to the fact that the client left Russia for emergency medical treatment, and not with the aim of hiding.

Recall that Ignatenko was extracted from Poland on February 7. According to the investigation, Ignatenko is the organizer of the criminal group and was involved in the "roofing" of the underground casinos. He was detained at the popular Polish Mountain Resort Sdorpan E in early January 2012, since then the Russian authorities have sought his extradition

Ignatenko was charged with receiving a bribe . Previously, he was accused of fraud, but under this article the case against him was closed in connection with the petition of the Polish side, which intended to give the prosecutor of Russia only on such conditions. It should be noted that on March 4 it became known that Ignatenko notified the Minister of Justice of Poland of a violation of his rights and freedoms in Russia.
