An investigator from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who received a bribe of 1 million rubles, was detained in the Moscow region, Interfax was informed by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
An investigator from the Investigative Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Naro-Fominsk region was detained, a press service employee specified. He was found to have 1 million rubles, previously given to him by the lawyer of the suspect, against whom a criminal case was initiated under Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs”).
In connection with this fact, an internal investigation has been scheduled, during which all the circumstances of the incident will be clarified. If an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is found guilty, he will be dismissed from the internal affairs bodies, and his immediate superiors will be subject to disciplinary action.
