In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, employees of a management company stole over 20 million rubles, the NGS.Novosti portal reports with reference to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

The employees of the management company, which maintains 30 apartment buildings in the city of Achinsk, received this amount from citizens for utility services provided. It had to be transferred to the resource supplying organization.

“The money was withdrawn from the cash register and spent on the personal needs of employees, including paying off loans, vacation trips abroad and other needs,” the press service noted.

Based on the materials of the prosecutor's inspection, a criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Appropriation of someone else's property entrusted to the perpetrator, causing major damage"). Those found guilty face up to 10 years in prison with a fine of up to 1 million rubles.

Officials declined to disclose the name of the management company. However, according to the portal, the management company "Our House" is suspected of fraud. The company's legal service declined to comment on this matter.
