Senator from the Voronezh region Nikolai Olshansky left the Federation Council early

The Federation Council prematurely removed the powers of the senator from the Voronezh region Nikolai Olshansky.

Olshansky submitted an application to the head of the upper house Valentina Matvienko, explained the head of the rules committee Vadim Tyulpanov. In his statement, Olshansky asked to take into account his age and state of health and to relieve him of his duties as a member of the Federation Council.

In turn, Valentina Matvienko said that Olshansky is currently in the hospital and therefore cannot attend the meeting.

Nikolai Olshansky was appointed senator from the regional Duma of the Voronezh region in January 2011, his term of office was supposed to end in March 2015.
