Varegovo, a dying village
Today on your monitors, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and maybe even on your TVs, the village of Varegovo, Bolsheselsky district, of the same Yaroslavl region. (I wonder how many commas and other marks I missed in the sentence.)
Despite the calendar spring, last Saturday it was not hot, at least one good thing was that it was sunny.
So, Varegovo, a typical dying village. And I use this term for a reason; just look at the population dynamics from Wikipedia:

Everyone who comes to the village is greeted by a stele with Soviet symbols.
Next to the local administration of the Varegovsky rural settlement there is an abandoned club. Club of typical architecture of those years.
In front of the entrance to the forgotten club there is a monument to the forgotten leader, and all this is on the main square of the village, which has been forgotten for 23 years.
Apparently, in conditions of survival, people have no time for culture and entertainment.

Now there are two boiler rooms on your image output devices. On the right is the historical boiler house, which initially worked on peat, which was mined in Varegovo, and later switched to fuel oil. Now, instead of it, they have installed a modern boiler-heat generator, which is in the photo on the left.
It works on plywood production waste - veneer.
The fuel supply process is not automated. Several times a day, the operator uses such a loader to load veneer into the heat generator.
Around 2010, I worked in the design bureau of a plant that was designing and manufacturing similar waste heat generators.

The village has an active dead-end railway line from Varegovo to Vaulovo. The length is about 4 km.
This carriage runs on this route twice a day. Movement speed is low. This car is pulled by a shunting locomotive.

There are many different kinds of ruins along the railway line.
It may have something to do with the vast network of narrow gauge railways and peat mining, it may not have anything to do with it, but in any case it is all in the past.
