Candidates from the United Russia party won the by-election of deputies to the City Duma of New Urengoy (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug) in multi-mandate electoral district No. 3, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug election commission said in a statement.
Thus, candidate Vyacheslav Zinchenko scored 63.92%, Igor Chernukhin - 60.65%, Dmitry Furazhkin - 42.17%.
In total, seven people applied for three seats in the city Duma of New Urengoy, among them three candidates from United Russia, one from the LDPR, one from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and two self-nominated candidates.
The city administration's information and analytical department reports that voter turnout was 27.48%.
By-elections for multi-member constituency No. 3 were held because three deputies voluntarily resigned in 2012 due to a change of residence.
