Lawyers for former Airborne Forces Colonel Leonid Khabarov, retired Cossack Alexander Ladeishchikov and scientist Viktor Kralin appealed the verdict of the Sverdlovsk Regional Court, reports Ura.Ru.
The complaints will be sent to the Supreme Court and the case will be reconsidered.
On February 26, the Yekaterinburg regional court sentenced the so-called “Ural rebels” - three accused in the case of preparing an armed rebellion. In the dock are the hero of Afghanistan, honorary citizen of Yekaterinburg, 65-year-old retired Airborne Colonel Leonid Khabarov (4 years 6 months), professor of the Forestry Academy and Honored Inventor Viktor Kralin (4 years 6 months) and pensioner Alexander Ladeishchikov (2 years probation).
