1913. Sergey Mikhalkov was born

100 years ago, March 13, 1913, the poet Sergei Mikhalkov, best known as the author of the Soviet and Russian hymns, was born. Throughout his long life, he always knew how to very accurately guess the rapidly changing wishes of the authorities and the political situation. Critic Stanislav Rassadin said that Mikhalkov "used his divine spark to light a fire under his state rations."

The 100th anniversary of Mikhalkov is celebrated on a grand scale: a solemn concert will be held at the Bolshoi Theater, a memorial plaque will be opened at the Povarskaya, they will call it a neighboring square and a monument will erect there.
