SKA became the first semi -finalist of the Gagarin Cup

The St. Petersburg SKA defeated the Cherepovets Severstal in the fourth match of the quarter-final playoff series of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), securing the Gagarin Cup to the semifinals.

The meeting, which took place on Tuesday in Cherepovets, ended with a score of 4: 2 in favor of the army from the banks of the Neva. The goals of the winners were abandoned by Dmitry Kalinin, Yuri Aleksandrov, Alexander Kucheyvenko and Evgeny Artyukhin. Denis Kazionov and Mikhail Anisin distinguished themselves at Severstal.

This victory allowed the army team to win a series with a dry score and the first to enter the final of the Western Conference. The second ticket is disputed in the Moscow derby of CSKA and Dynamo. The second consecutive victory in overtime with a minimum advantage (2: 1) brought one step closer to the cherished goal of the blue and white, which lead in the series up to four victories with a score of 3-1.

In the east, the Tractor led 3-0 in the confrontation with the Vanguard, winning the third match with a score of 3: 0. Moreover, the Chelyabinsk residents abandoned the Omsks already 11 goals, never missing. And the Kazan "Ak Bars" first managed to defeat the Ufa "Salavat Yulaev" (3: 0), reducing the lag in the series to 1-2.
