First month of second life

Friday the fifteenth... This phrase will now invariably be associated with Chelyabinsk, which on a fine February day found a rebirth.

Today the city lives a measured life. Payments to victims begin. Restoration work is being completed. And the battles over the two European Championships are already behind us, after RAS scientists officially declared: the meteorite should be called “Chelyabinsk” and not “Chebarkul”. Hardly anyone will begin to refute their scientific basis. It would seem to live and be happy that no big disaster happened, to celebrate Maslenitsa, to feast on pancakes... But one thought haunts me. More precisely, one video that, it seems, has already been watched by all the inhabitants of the Earth who are friends with the Internet. And many - more than once.

The footage clearly shows: the Chelyabinsk bolide “pierces” a certain object in the air and, while remaining undamaged, flies further. The meteorite explodes and scatters into small fragments. Humanity does not yet have such technologies at its disposal. Then who hit the car? "This is a montage!" - skeptics wave it off. I would gladly dismiss it with them. But I would still like experts to evaluate the video. I think it won’t be difficult for them to determine whether it’s a fake or an original. Moreover, the video was filmed from several points. However, there is no information about this. And the scientists are silent. However, for them UFOs have always been a closed topic.

In this sense, the visit to the capital of the Southern Urals by Dr. Petrus Jenniskens is like a breath of fresh air. His position in itself is very eloquent. Chelyabinsk was visited by NASA's leading expert on... the search for alien intelligence. Officially, the purpose of the “chief skeet” visit was to study the tracks of the car. But something tells me: not all conclusions upon completion of the research will be announced to a wide audience.

By the way, another alien news this week confirmed that “saucer” fantasies may not be so groundless. There was life on Mars, American scientists say, based on data obtained from the rover. In the distant past, conditions on the Red Planet were quite suitable for its existence.

Some five years ago, serious conversations about life on Mars could have aroused the interest of only a psychiatrist. Now we are quite ready for such news. They didn’t even seem particularly surprised. I wonder when we will be ready to hear the whole truth about the Chelyabinsk car?
