In Kamchatka, 266 Aeroflot passengers cannot fly to Moscow

Snowfall and wind prevent Aeroflot passengers in Kamchatka from flying to Moscow, a dispatcher at the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport told Interfax on Thursday.

“Due to heavy snow and wind in the south of the peninsula, the Aeroflot plane, which was already flying from Moscow to Kamchatka, left for an alternate airfield in Khabarovsk. Its arrival is expected only on Friday morning, when the weather improves. 221 passengers will fly to the peninsula on board this plane 266 passengers are waiting for their departure from Kamchatka,” the agency quotes the dispatcher.

Flights from Vladivostok, Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk will be delayed until Friday, March 15. All flights on domestic air routes on the peninsula have now been postponed.
