The author is a student of Chuvash State University Nikolai Mikhailov. "The idea to build a T-34-85 tank" came to my mind in December 2011,-Nikolai shared. - Then I built it with a scale of 1: 1.5. And I wanted to build the same tank, but already in life. I decided to implement this idea at the beginning of the New Winter. At the end of November, I waited for snow with a layer of about 20-30 cm. I had to wait a long time.
Construction began at the end of 2012 and went in stages. At first I threw a large pile of snow, formed a parallelepip from it. Then he cut out of this “heap” of the body of T 34-85, with the help of a hand saw and a construction trowel, which helped a lot with the grinding of “armor”. Then it was necessary to install the tank on the body of the tank, this process turned out to be the most difficult. But I coped with this task, spending 3 days on it. Then there was already an installation of parts on the case, the tower and clogging the pipe into the tower that imitates the 85 mm caliber gun. In the midst of construction, I learned about the Tankovich-2013 contest and decided to take part in it. As a result, it took about 1.5 months to build a snow model of the legendary tank. The process was interesting and fascinating, but the “life” of such a tank is short. Sunny rays and warming do their job-the snow tank quickly loses its original shape. But they will remain in memory of the unusual tank. Forever photos that are no longer melted.
