Activists of the unregistered party “Other Russia” entered the building of the Central Bank, blocked the entrance with chains and handcuffs and demanded to stop the export of capital abroad. They held a banner with the slogan “Return Russian money to Russia!”, the party website reports. Activist Alexander Kurkin demanded a meeting with the head of the Central Bank, Sergei Ignatiev, who is living out his last days in office. Activists scattered leaflets that said: “National interests are higher than the private interests of the “fat cats” who got rich from the privatization of public property.”
Ten protesters were detained. According to ovdinfo.org, Sergei Zaplavnov, Olga Komarova, Alexander Kurkin, Evgeny Petrov, Artemy Kolbasov, Ivan Drozdov, Evgeny Popov, Anastasia Vinovkina, Sergey Cherepovsky and Viktor Astakhov are being taken to the Meshchansky police station.
On April 5, “The Other Russia” plans to hold the first action as part of the campaign under the slogan “Take and Share!”
